Terms of Service

Last updated 19 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Academy at theindustryportal.com, run by The Industry Portal. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Academy. You can reach us at info@theindustryportal.com.

Who can use the Academy

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to take a paid membership. By using the service you confirm you are able to enter into a binding agreement.

Your account

Keep your account details accurate and your password safe. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Membership and payments

  • The Academy offers free access and paid membership tiers. What each tier includes is shown on the membership page.
  • Paid memberships are billed on a recurring basis through our payment provider, or, where offered, through a YouTube channel membership.
  • Memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Prices may change. If they do, we will give you notice before the change applies to you.

Refunds

Our content is digital and available to you as soon as your membership starts. If something is wrong, contact us and we will try to put it right. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Our content

The courses, videos, text and other materials in the Academy are owned by The Industry Portal or our licensors. We give you a personal permission to access them for your own learning. You may not copy, share, resell or republish them, and you may not use them to build a competing product or service.

Community conduct

If you take part in the community, including on Discord, please be respectful. Do not post spam, harassment, or unlawful content, and do not share other people's private information. We may remove content or suspend access if these rules are broken.

Third party services

The Academy relies on services such as Discord, YouTube, Google and Stripe, each of which has its own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is subject to their terms.

Educational purpose only

Everything in the Academy is provided for education and general information. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any product. Always speak to a suitably qualified professional before making decisions based on what you learn here.

Availability

We work to keep the Academy available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Our responsibility to you

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unexpected losses arising from your use of the Academy. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your access

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or use the service in a way that harms other members or us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Academy means you accept the updated terms.
